ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL - November 5, 2007 - Ascender Corporation, a leading provider of advanced font products and innovative applications for mobile devices, today announced that it has joined the Open Handset Alliance and is providing a variety of solutions for the Android platform.

The Android platform is a complete mobile software stack with everything a handset manufacturer or operator needs to build a mobile phone. Ascender is developing a collection of fonts that will be delivered as part of the Android platform. The fonts will be used as part of the User Interface and will provide support for multiple languages.
