Abadi, introduced in 1988, offers a versatile sans serif design whose style lies somewhere between the humanist Gill Sans and the more rigidly lineal Helvetica. Subtle humanistic characteristics give Abadi a friendly appeal and contribute as much to the typeface's legibility as does its generous x-height. This legibility keeps the typeface usable in smaller point sizes.
