New Berolina®

New Berolina
Description
Martin Wilke, a German lettering artist and type designer born in 1903, was known for his clever ways with the brush and broad-tipped pen. New Berolina, Wilke's 1965 disconnected script, scampers merrily across the page in its eagerness to tell a story. Drawn with a light hand, New Berolina's casual curves and flowing lines fed the public's hunger for less formal, friendlier typography. This buoyant design still appears fresh and organic, and is happiest when set at large text sizes with plenty of linespacing.
