Description
Horley Old Style, a 1925 design supervised by Frank Hinman Pierpont at the Monotype Type Drawing Office, takes inspiration from the Kennerley types of American typography legend Frederic W. Goudy. This Old Style face bears several Goudyesque characteristics, such as the angled crossbar on the lowercase e and the soft diamond-shaped dots found in punctuation and atop the i and j . An airy, free-spirited face, Horley Old Style's little quirks become invisible to the reader in text settings, making it a quality book face with something extra.
