Description
In 1962, Monotype commissioned renowned Swiss type designer Adrian Frutiger to create Apollo, an appealing serif text family. Apollo was Monotype's first type design developed specifically for phototypesetting and litho printing. Although it was designed in the mid-twentieth century, Apollo has a timeless air with a hint of old-world classic style. Apollo is a wonderful alternative to more traditional book faces such as Bembo and Baskerville. A clean, well-proportioned design, Apollo's carefully drawn, balanced letterforms and even spacing contribute to enhanced readability at a range of text sizes.
