Liberation™ Fonts

Ascender designed and developed a set of fonts titled Liberation™ for Red Hat® as a custom font development project. There are three sets of fonts in the Liberation family:

Liberation Sans (a sans serif design) - regular, italic, bold, bold italic
Liberation Serif (a serif design) - regular, italic, bold, bold italic
Liberation Mono (a monospace design) - regular, italic, bold, bold italic

The Liberation font family was designed by Ascender's Steve Matteson and developed by Ascender to meet Red Hat's specifications.

These fonts are in the TrueType™ format and are available from Red Hat today. Please note that the Liberation Font License includes the following exception:

"(b)As a further exception, any distribution of the object code of the Software in a physical product must provide you the right to access and modify the source code for the Software and to reinstall that modified version of the Software in object code form on the same physical product on which you received it."
