Ascender OpenType fonts for the Microsoft® Syndicated Client Experiences Starter Kit
Ascender Corp. has developed nine OpenType™ format fonts to demonstrate the advanced typographic features of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) used conjunction with the Syndicated Client Experiences Starter Kit.
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) lets developers create rich, visually stunning applications with OpenType fonts. WPF introduces the next generation of text rendering, with new advances that improve the readability of text on a computer display, including:
- Support for ClearType®
- Advanced typographic features in OpenType (i.e. fractions, contextual ligatures, alternate caps and numerals
- Support for Adobe® Compact Font Format (CFF) OpenType fonts
The Ascender OpenType fonts in the Syndicated Client Experiences Starter Kit contains a basic ASCII character set and additional glyphs to showcase various advanced OpenType features.
The font data is licensed “as is” for embedded redistribution within news reader applications created using the Syndicated Client Experiences Starter Kit, and may not be modified in any way. If you would like to license versions of these fonts with extended character sets or other custom features, please contact Ascender.
