Teletext Fonts
Monotype Imaging is pleased to offer three Lucida™ and three Andale™ fonts for Teletext applications. Both the Lucida and Andale fonts are renowned for their on-screen quality and legibility. They are available in the scalable TrueType format, or in custom bitmap formats if desired.
The three Teletext fonts have different widths to meet the needs of Teletext developers: condensed, regular and extended.
Lucida Teletext:
Andale Teletext:
Teletext fonts have a defined character set comprising alphanumeric and graphics characters. Ascender's Teletext fonts meet the character set requirements of the European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) for CCIR Teletext systems.
The fonts also include G3 Smooth Mosaics and Line Drawing Set support as defined in ETSI EN 300 706, for Teletext 2.
The Teletext fonts available from Monotype Imaging feature the following character sets:
- Latin G0 and G2 sets
- Latin National Option Sub-Sets
- Cyrillic set
- Greek set
