How many fonts are in Microsoft Windows 7?

On October 22, 2009 Microsoft formally announced Windows 7. This new operating system includes 255 total fonts. There are 48 new fonts that were not included with Windows Vista.

The Ascender team was involved in the creation of many of these new fonts for Windows 7. Also, Ascender assisted Microsoft in developing enhancements & improvements to many Windows Vista fonts (both Latin and non-Latin fonts) that are incorporated into the new version of Windows 7.
